TRC Gymnastics – Recreational Gymnastics Policies

By participating in a trial class, recreational class, birthday party, open gym, TRC team or any other special event, you agree to all TRC Gymnastics Policies

Viewing

Parents, siblings and other non-participants may view from the designated viewing areas ONLY. Parents, siblings and other non-participants are NOT allowed on the gym floor. The only exception is during preschool open gym.

Participants

Proper attire is required for all participants. Acceptable attire for girls includes leotards, footless tights, and/or tight fitting T-shirts. Baggy clothing is acceptable for warm-up purposes, but students will be asked to remove such clothing in situations where it impedes with the instructor’s ability to perform particular skills safely and/or properly. Neither girls or boys are allowed to wear clothing with buckles or rivets while participating in class. These types of garments can become entangled and possible damage certain equipment in the gymnasium. Boy’s should be aware that they will be required to tuck their shirts into their shorts in certain situations. All students are required to have hair pulled back from the face. Personal items, including water bottles should be stored in the cubbies during class time. However, valuables should be left at home. TRC is not responsible for lost, stolen, broken or misplaced items. Participants are not allowed on the gym floor until their designated class time and their coach is present.

Make-up Classes

TRC does not offer make ups, refunds or pro-rations for missed classes.

Cancellation

TRC requires a 30 day cancellation notice. You are responsible for payment, whether or not your student attends classes, until you notify TRC Gymnastics in writing to drop your student from class(es).

Tardiness

Warm-ups are a crucial and mandatory component of every instructional period. Any student arriving 10 or more minutes late for the group warm-up will be denied participation without a refund, pro-ration or make up class.

Payments

Payments for all outstanding balances are due by the 10th of the month. After the 10th, a monthly $10 late fee will be added for each class, student, registration fee, private lesson fee and/or other unpaid fees up to $499. Balances over $499 will be charged a 10% monthly late fee. TRC reserves the right to refuse services, without notice, to any family and/or participant for any account 30 or more days past due and engage a collection agency. TRC bills on a 4 week month. *A monthly 10%, late fee for unpaid Team Assessments.

Injury Policy

TRC does not offer make-up classes, refunds or pro-rations for minor injuries. More serious injuries, requiring several weeks off, a doctor’s note is required. With a doctor’s note, TRC will put a “hold” on the recreational class with no payment for 30 days, based on our class cycle. After 30 days, if fully recovered, the participant should resume participation/payment in the class. If not fully recovered, TRC will no longer hold the class position in reserve without payment. *(Policy differs for TRC Team Gymnasts. Please refer to the TRC Team Policies)
